62HI, Cologne

Retail and hospitality in one of Germany's prime high-street locations.

With 62HI, a new mixed-use project is taking shape at a prominent corner location at the intersection of Hohe Straße and Schildergasse in the heart of downtown Cologne. The new building combines modern retail space with serviced apartments and blends architecturally into the existing surroundings. The project gains a special historical connection through Roman foundations found in the basement.

62HI IN DETAIL

Right in the heart of Cologne's prime location

In the heart of downtown Cologne, 62HI is a new development project taking shape in one of the city’s most visible and heavily trafficked locations. The property is located at Hohe Straße 60–66, In der Höhle 2–6, and Große Sandkaul 19—in close proximity to Schildergasse, the cathedral, and numerous dining options. The downtown location offers excellent access to public transportation and brings together retail, tourism, and urban life at one of Cologne’s most central locations.

New Construction with Historic Foundations

For this project, the existing buildings will be replaced by a completely new structure. Modern retail spaces with spacious glass facades will be created on the ground floor and first floor, while the floors above will be used for serviced apartments. Architecturally, 62HI draws inspiration from the neighboring 52HI project, thereby enhancing the overall ensemble effect at the site. An inner courtyard on the second floor enhances the quality of the space. At the same time, the site’s history remains visible: Roman foundations on the first basement level will be preserved and integrated into the project.
